Azoospermic males, who are infertile, can benefit from Testicular Sperm Extraction called Micro-TESE. Without regard to blocked vas deferens, the sperm are present in testes in very low quantities or cannot be produced at all. If there is no sperm in a man’s ejaculate, this treatment is performed under anaesthesia via an operating microscope. The surgeon separates the testes to detect the areas which produce sperm, and takes samples. Embryologists cut these removed samples apart, and put them into the tubules or utilize them when doing a micro injection.
Analyzing the testes with via microscope increases the chances of finding sperm, and the chances of collecting more of it. This treatment gives less damage to the testes, and prevents lowering the level of testosterone in blood.
